Members of this group attended a club committe meeting by invitation after responding to written correspondence from the club committee imposing a deadline, for the submission of an offer from this group.
The stipulated deadline was simply unrealistic and to some extent premature, given the fact that it was issued on the basis of rumoured rather than actual existence of any "consortium" with a clear intention of making any form of offer.
The point needs to be stressed that at this moment there is no clarity with regard to any potential proposal and the latter is in the throes of being formulated on the basis that parties involved have made a commitment to make adequate funds available ifstrong> they feel able to support that proposal.
A request was made to the committee for a suitable degree of cooperation to enable that proposal to be based upon accurate figures.
After a discussion in which the group"s approach and intentions were clearly explained and the committee members had raised all questions they wished the mebers of this group left that meeting to enable the club committee to deliberate and reach a decision with respect to their view on providing access to club records.
On 9th January 2025 we were advised of a positive response from the committee and this has been followed by a visit to the club for the purpose of reviewing club records on 12th January 2022.
The group now have 26 days to formulate and agree the details of a proposal that incorporates legal matters (purchase and leaseback contract), create an appropriate legal entity in case there is a need to enter into a contract with the club whilst also attempting to respond to club members in an open and transparent way.
